Powe. Mountain Project

What it's all about...

The Powe. Mountain Project is a volunteer based, community cleanup at ski resorts throughout Vermont and the east coast. During these project days we team up with mountain staff and local volunteers to scour the mountain for trash and signs of visitors who have come and gone.

Once collected, we sort and record our findings so we can analyze major and common sources of pollution that’s been found. In collaboration with the mountain we can look at the pollution and work on ways to mitigate those problems for the future. Pretty simple, right? Right.

It’s a very basic approach to addressing some of the environmental problems we see today, but don’t underestimate the simplicity of this program. Not only is it an amazing ways to give back to our mountains, it’s also an incredible way to get the community involved in something we can all benefit from.

The Powe. Crew and Volunteers head to Bolton Valley for another day of enjoying the sunshine, hiking, and cleaning up the mountain.
