Chief Operations Officer, Sean Israelski

"Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread".

 - Edward Abbey

Hi, my name is...

Sean and I love hiking, fishing, snowboarding and everything about the environment. My experiences snowboarding began back in Goshen, NY riding local mountains like Mountain Creek in New Jersey, and Gore Mountain in the Adirondacks. I spent summers at High Cascade Snowboard Camp at Mt. Hood, where I was able to submerge myself into the snowboarder lifestyle and culture. As I grew older, I knew I had to figure out a way to snowboard everyday, regardless of where it would land me.

Eventually, I ended up at the University of Vermont, nestled right up in the Green Mountains, riding (mostly) at Stowe Mountain Resort. While attending the University of Vermont I found an interest in entrepreneurship and developing my own brand in 2012, which is where my first brainchild was born. I developed a small apparel company called β€œShibby,” where I produced mostly hats and stickers. Over the years Shibby took a back burner to schooling, and the fire of starting my own company had taken a back seat.

In 2014 that fire was reignited when I decided to join my friends on the greatest endeavor of them all, Powe. Snowboards. Through Powe. Snowboards, I have taken on many roles that I would not have seen myself in years ago. From writing contracts, controlling internet fulfillment and shipping logistics, running weekly meetings, and even trying to figure out how to do our taxes, Powe. has given me the opportunity to expand my horizons and grow beyond my formal schooling. I am excited to be a part of this movement and look forward to creating a more sustainable industry and showing people what gets my gears turning.
